On April 9th we went on a school trip to Aljubarrota and Batalha to get to know some more facts about our heroine, during a very important period of our history when Portugal was about to lose its independence, as Spain wanted to rule our country. The Battle of Aljubarrota gave us our independence.
Today there is a very important centre to understand how a very small Portuguese army managed to conquer the huge Spanish army. Our king ordered the building of the Monastery of Batalha following this victory. Very soon we'll have our documentary ready.
